Broadstead, designed for every generation.
Recently we sat down with Chris Ravat, Senior Development Manager at Jinding to discuss Broadstead’s unique design and why it is set to become an asset to the local community.
What inspires’ Broadstead’s design?
Broadstead is overlooks the rolling hills of Monument Hill Reserve to the east, and farmland to the west. In creating Broadstead, we were inspired by these scenic landscapes and wanted to design a community that enhanced the natural landscape.
What are the key masterplan features?
There are several key features across Broadstead’s masterplan.
The masterplan features 500 lots ranging up to 1737sqm and an average lot size of 687 sqm, this is significantly larger than land offered in nearby suburbs like Wallan and Beveridge.
Stretching across the site there is an existing waterway, which we will embellish with native flora and walking trails. This has created over eleven hectares of green space, including a central park with elements for play and relaxation. The waterway will provide green space and fitness circuits close to every home and increase passive surveillance across the masterplan.
The design guidelines for Broadstead will also play an integral role in creating a masterplan that celebrates country living with specifications for wider frontages, verandahs and beautifully landscaped front gardens. We want homeowners to make their front gardens an extension of their home, where they can connect with their immediate neighbours or sit back and watch passing traffic.
Who has Broadstead been designed for?
Broadstead has been designed for residents of every stage of life. The diverse lot sizes and landscaping creates spaces for residents of all ages to play, relax and grow. The project’s proximity to Sydney Street shops and existing services, including Kilmore District Health, ensures residents have access to established amenity from the moment they move in. There are also plans for a future P-6 government school, sporting ovals and bus stop, right next to Broadstead’s masterplan.
Describe the design process for Broadstead?
At Jinding, we work closely with the local community and council to shape our vision for each community.
When we first acquired Broadstead, Jinding sought input from the local community and City of Mitchell Shire via a series of workshops and surveys. The outcome of this research set a clear vision for the community, that embraced and enhanced its surrounds.
Broadstead’s Sales Suite, located at 200 Quinn’s Road is now open 7 days from 11am to 5pm. Stop by and view the masterplan for Kilmore East’s newest community.
